- You are between 40 and 65 years old
- You have been diagnosed with high cholesterol within the last two years, with LDL (bad cholesterol) between 116–189 mg/dL and moderate heart risk
- Your doctor has decided you do not need cholesterol-lowering medication right now
- You can attend blood tests at the beginning and end of the study
- You have not taken vitamin B or other plant-based supplement pills in the last 30 days
- You do not have a serious illness, active cancer, thyroid problems, or a known allergy to salt-loving plants
