- Diagnosed with idiopathic intracranial hypertension (high pressure of fluid around the brain with no known cause)
- Spinal fluid pressure measured by lumbar puncture above 25 cm H₂O
- Narrowed vein in the brain confirmed by MRI or CT scan
- Symptoms like headaches, vision loss, swelling of the optic nerve, or pulsating ear ringing
- Pressure difference across the narrowed vein measured during a procedure
- If you have ear ringing, a special CT scan of the ear bone
