Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and in good enough health to tolerate treatment (ECOG score 0–1, meaning you can do most daily activities)
  • You have advanced melanoma (Stage III or IV) that has not been treated with systemic therapy before, though prior adjuvant or neoadjuvant therapy is okay if finished 3+ weeks ago
  • You have at least one tumor lesion that can be injected with the gold nanoparticles and treated with radiation (in skin, fat layer, lymph nodes, or accessible internal organs)
  • Your blood cell counts, kidney function, liver function, and heart function are adequate based on recent lab tests
  • You have never received anti-PD-1 or anti-PD-L1 immunotherapy before
  • You are willing to use effective contraception during the study and for 12 months after treatment ends
