Who can take part
- You have type 2 diabetes and have been on semaglutide 1 mg weekly for at least 3 months
- You are 18–64 years old with a BMI (weight-to-height ratio) between 25–35
- Your blood sugar control is good (HbA1c under 8%) and your kidney function is normal or mildly reduced
- You are not pregnant, not breastfeeding, and (if you can become pregnant) willing to use reliable contraception
- You have not been in another drug study within the past 3 months and do not have a history of heart or stroke
- You do not take insulin, certain older diabetes pills (sulfonylureas or glinides), or have severe liver, kidney, or thyroid disease
