Who can take part
- Age 18–80 years
- Early-stage lung cancer (stage IA) with a tumor 2 cm or smaller
- Tumor is solid and located in the inner two-thirds of your lung (deep-seated)
- Good overall health and heart/lung function (at least 60% of normal breathing capacity)
- No cancer spread to other parts of the body or lymph nodes
- Have not had previous surgery on the same side of your lungs
