Who can take part
- Scheduled for elective (planned, non-emergency) laparoscopic gallbladder removal surgery
- Age 18–65 years old
- BMI (body mass index) between 18–28 kg/m² (roughly within a healthy weight range)
- In generally good health with no severe heart, lung, or psychiatric conditions
- No major surgery requiring general anesthesia in the past 3 months
- Not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy in the near future
