Who can take part
- Child is between 6 and 11 years old with vision that is normal or very slightly blurry (not yet nearsighted)
- Child has no significant differences in eye focus between the two eyes
- Child has no eye diseases, previous eye surgery, or eye alignment problems (crossed eyes)
- Child is willing and able to use artificial tear drops at least 90% of the time during a 2–4 week test period
- Child has no serious health conditions that affect eye focusing (like diabetes, multiple sclerosis, or Down syndrome)
- Child has never been treated with atropine drops or special contact lenses to control nearsightedness

This study tests whether special glasses or low-dose atropine eye drops can slow down worsening nearsightedness in children. It compares four groups: glasses alone, eye drops alone, both together, or a placebo (no active treatment).
