VIRTUGUIDE System for Bunion Foot Surgery

Hallux Valgus

This study tests a new computer-guided system to help surgeons perform bunion correction surgery (called a Lapidus procedure) more accurately. Participants will receive this guided surgery along with a standard implant, and researchers will track how well the surgery works and how patients recover.

Who can take part

  • You are at least 22 years old
  • You need bunion correction surgery (Lapidus procedure) for the first time—not a repeat surgery
  • You can read and understand informed consent forms and study questions in an available language
  • You are willing to have the VIRTUGUIDE System and DePuy Synthes implant used during your surgery
  • You have no metal hardware already in the foot joint being operated on
  • You have no allergies to implant materials
