Who can take part
- Have a confirmed diagnosis of classic Rett syndrome with a genetic test showing a MECP2 mutation
- Be at least 2 years old and past the early decline stage of the condition
- Have normal or corrected hearing (no hearing loss)
- Be able to tolerate a safe, non-invasive brain-wave recording (EEG) that takes about an hour
- Have a parent or caregiver who can provide permission and complete study forms
