Brain Imaging Study of Arteriovenous Malformations Before and After Surgery

Unruptured Brain Arteriovenous Malformation

This research study uses special brain imaging scans to understand how an unruptured arteriovenous malformation (an abnormal tangle of blood vessels in the brain) affects blood flow and thinking abilities before and after surgical treatment. Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You have been diagnosed with an unruptured arteriovenous malformation (abnormal blood vessels in the brain) and have decided to have surgery
  • You can lie still for 40 minutes during brain imaging scans
  • You do not have uncontrolled diabetes
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have French social security insurance or are eligible for it
