Who can take part
- You have head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (a type of cancer in the mouth, throat, or related areas) that has not spread to the nasopharynx (top of the throat behind the nose)
- Your cancer is stage II–IVB and your doctors believe it can be completely removed by surgery
- Your cancer cells show positive expression of IMP3 protein (a marker found in lab tests)
- You are able to undergo major surgery to remove the cancer
- Your blood counts, liver, kidney, and heart function are adequate for this treatment
- You have not received prior immunotherapy drugs (PD-1, PD-L1, CTLA-4 inhibitors) or other anti-cancer vaccines
