Who can take part
- Age 18–80 years old
- Recently diagnosed deep vein thrombosis (blood clot) in the iliofemoral veins of one leg, confirmed by ultrasound or CT scan
- Suitable candidate for both blood thinners and clot removal procedure according to your doctor
- No history of previous blood clots with severe long-term leg damage (post-thrombotic syndrome)
- Blood counts and kidney function within safe range for the procedure
- No severe, uncontrolled high blood pressure or active cancer
