  • Your child must have end-stage liver disease (severe liver failure) requiring a transplant
  • Your child must be 1 year old or younger
  • You must have written permission from the hospital's ethics committee
  • You (as parent or legal guardian) must sign consent to participate
  • Your child cannot be receiving a combined liver-kidney transplant or a second liver transplant
