  • Child is between 5 and 7 years old
  • Child is generally healthy with no serious medical conditions or special healthcare needs
  • Child has not had negative experiences at the dentist before
  • Child is cooperative and calm during dental visits (not very anxious or uncooperative)
  • The tooth to be extracted is a lower primary molar (baby back tooth)
  • Parent or guardian consents to participate
