Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You have moderate to severe leg pain or wounds from poor blood flow (Rutherford Category 2–5)
  • Blood pressure readings in your legs show significant blockage (ABI ≤0.90 or TBI ≤0.70)
  • Your blocked artery is in the thigh or behind the knee (upper leg) or calf/foot area (lower leg)
  • The blockage is heavily calcified (hardened), at least moderately
  • You do not have severe kidney disease (creatinine ≤2.5 mg/dL) and are not on dialysis
