This research study examines how the brain regulates hormones and metabolism in people with long-standing anorexia nervosa. Who can take part
- You are female, aged 18–45 and not yet through menopause
- You have had anorexia nervosa for at least 7 years with documented difficulty functioning and poor response to previous treatment
- Your BMI is currently ≤18.5 or was ≤18.5 within the last 12 months
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant
- You speak German fluently enough to understand the study procedures
- You do not have serious medical conditions affecting your metabolism, brain, organs, or heart, and you are not currently taking medications that alter hormones or brain chemistry (including antidepressants, birth control, or steroids)
