Who can take part
- Age between 2 and 18 years old
- Diagnosis of developmental dysplasia of the hip or residual acetabular dysplasia (underdeveloped hip socket)
- Planning to have one of four specific hip socket surgeries (Salter, Dega, San Diego, or Pemberton osteotomy) at Istanbul University Hospital
- MRI scan done within 6 weeks before surgery and another scan 3 to 8 weeks after surgery
- No previous hip surgery that changed the bone structure, and no metal implants in or near the hip
- Able to safely have an MRI (no metal implants incompatible with MRI, no severe claustrophobia, and able to receive sedation if needed)
