  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You are currently in an ICU (intensive care unit)
  • You are expected to stay in the ICU for at least 24 hours
  • Your forehead is intact with no wounds or active infections
  • You have not had a recent stroke
  • You are not already being monitored with an EEG (brain wave monitor)
