Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) that is either inoperable or has spread to other parts of your body
  • You have not received systemic chemotherapy (whole-body cancer treatment) for advanced disease, though prior local treatments like surgery or radiation are allowed if done long enough ago
  • Your liver function is reasonably well-preserved (Child-Pugh score of 7 or less, meaning your liver can still handle medications)
  • Your blood counts and kidney/liver function tests meet specific minimums, and you are generally in good health (ECOG performance status 0 or 1)
  • You completed any recent cancer treatments, radiotherapy, or ablation at least 4 weeks before enrolling
  • You have at least one tumor lesion that can be measured on imaging to track whether the drug is working
