Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 85 years old
  • You can walk at least 30 feet, with or without a cane, walker, or other aid
  • You weigh 198 pounds (90 kg) or less
  • You can understand and follow simple directions in English
  • If you have had a lower-limb amputation, your doctor must approve your participation
  • You do not have other serious nerve, bone, joint, heart, or lung conditions that would make walking difficult
