Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 75 years old
  • You had a heart attack (STEMI) with a blocked artery in the front of your heart that needed emergency angioplasty
  • Your heart attack symptoms started between 2 hours and 24 hours before treatment, depending on your heart's condition
  • You have not had a prior heart attack, bypass surgery, or previous angioplasty
  • You do not have severe heart failure, uncontrolled irregular heartbeats, or severe liver/kidney disease
  • You must be able to undergo heart imaging (MRI) and agree to use contraception if of childbearing age
