Dance therapy to help people recover from stroke

Who can take part

  • Had your first or a recent stroke (ischemic or hemorrhagic) confirmed by imaging
  • Currently receiving hospital care in a stroke unit
  • Have mild-to-moderate stroke severity (NIHSS score below 16)
  • Have weakness on one side of your body from the stroke, but retain some ability to move against gravity
  • Have mild-to-moderate disability that affects daily activities (mRS score 2–4)
  • Have adequate cognitive function to participate (MoCA score above 2nd percentile)
