- You are 18 years or older
- You are having a scheduled robotic surgery (not an emergency) that lasts at least 2 hours on your abdomen, chest, or pelvis
- You will be put to sleep with a breathing tube that comes out at the end of surgery
- You do not have severe facial injuries, recent nose surgery, or major nose deformities
- You do not have a pacemaker or heart defibrillator implant
- You are not expected to need intensive care after surgery
