Who can take part
- For people with autoimmune hepatitis: be at least 10 years old and weigh at least 25 kg (55 lbs).
- Your diagnosis must be confirmed by at least 2 of these: abnormal liver blood tests (ALT or IgG), certain autoantibodies (like ANA or anti-smooth muscle), or a liver biopsy showing interface hepatitis.
- You must sign a form agreeing to take part and to have your blood samples stored for research.
- You cannot have HIV, hepatitis B or C, or be under legal guardianship.
- If you are a control (comparison) participant, you must be 18 or older, weigh at least 37 kg (about 81 lbs), and have one of: primary biliary cholangitis, metabolic steatohepatitis, or drug-induced liver injury.
