  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You have gum pockets deeper than 4 mm (your dentist can measure these)
  • You have not taken antibiotics in the last three months
  • You are not pregnant or planning to become pregnant during the study
  • You do not have diabetes or other serious systemic diseases
