Who can take part

  • Diagnosed with Parkinson's disease (idiopathic type) for at least 5 years
  • Currently taking levodopa medication at a stable, fixed dose
  • Experiencing motor complications such as involuntary movements or medication wearing-off episodes
  • Not severely disabled (able to walk with or without assistance; not bedridden)
  • No dementia, significant brain abnormalities, or immune system problems
  • Have not used antibiotics or probiotics in the past 3 months
