Who can take part

  • Age 60 or older
  • Diagnosed with HFpEF (heart failure with preserved ejection fraction) confirmed by heart imaging and blood tests
  • Have gastrointestinal symptoms along with heart failure symptoms
  • Take stable heart failure medications for at least 1 month with no recent changes
  • No severe kidney disease, active infections, or recent heart surgery
  • Not currently in an acute heart failure crisis requiring emergency treatment
