Who can take part

  • You are pregnant and at least 18 years old
  • You are having a routine ultrasound scan between 18–24 weeks of pregnancy (second trimester)
  • Your scan includes a transvaginal cervical ultrasound (a small probe inserted into the vagina to measure the cervix)
  • You have clear, usable ultrasound images of your cervix
  • You are willing to share information about when your baby is born and how your pregnancy ends
