Zipalertinib for advanced lung cancer after chemotherapy
Part of Cancer, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.
This trial gives access to an investigational drug called zipalertinib for people with a specific type of advanced lung cancer (EGFR exon 20 insertion) who have already tried chemotherapy. The goal is to see if the drug can help control the cancer when other treatments have stopped working.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You have non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with a specific genetic change called EGFR exon 20 insertion.
- Your cancer is advanced, has spread, or has come back and cannot be removed with surgery.
- You have already tried platinum-based chemotherapy (with or without a drug called amivantamab), and your cancer kept growing or you couldn't tolerate the side effects.
- You are in fairly good health and can take care of yourself (ECOG performance status 0 or 1).

This trial tests a new study drug called PF-08634404 combined with standard chemotherapy for people with advanced lung cancer that has not been treated before. It aims to see if this combination works better than chemotherapy alone.
This trial tests a new combination treatment for people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has an EGFR mutation. It aims to see if this combination can shrink tumors or slow their growth.
This trial tests a new pill, zongertinib, against standard of care for people with early-stage (II–IIIB) non-small cell lung cancer that has a specific HER2 mutation in the tyrosine kinase domain. The goal is to see if zongertinib can prevent the cancer from coming back after complete surgical removal.
This trial tests a combination of two targeted drugs (DZD9008 and AZD4205) for people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has a specific EGFR mutation and has stopped responding to standard treatments. The goal is to see if this combination can shrink tumors or slow cancer growth.
This trial tests a new pill (sunvozertinib) combined with chemotherapy for people with a specific EGFR mutation type of lung cancer whose previous targeted pill stopped working. It aims to see if the combination can shrink tumors or slow the cancer's growth.
