Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have been diagnosed with kidney stones in the upper ureter (proximal ureter)
- Your stone is larger than 1 cm in size, or you have multiple stones
- You are scheduled for or planning to have flexible ureteroscopy (a minimally invasive kidney stone removal procedure)
- You do not have a urinary tract infection that needs treatment
- You do not have abnormal urinary anatomy (such as a diverted urinary system, reconstructed ureter, or horseshoe kidney)
