Who can take part

  • You have a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL)—a major ligament in your knee—that needs surgical repair
  • Your surgery will be your first ACL reconstruction (not a repeat surgery)
  • You are able to have surgery as an outpatient (same-day surgery at a surgery center or hospital)
  • You have no other knee injuries or problems that would require additional surgery during the same procedure
  • You commit to attending all follow-up appointments as scheduled
  • You are willing to sign a consent form agreeing to participate
