Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You have recently had or are planning to have a stent placed in a heart artery (called PCI with stenting)
  • You are able to take ticagrelor (a blood thinner medication)
  • You are able to take clopidogrel (another blood thinner medication)
  • You can provide a cheek swab sample (buccal swab) for genetic testing
  • Your doctors expect you to survive at least 48 hours
