Treatments studied

Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This study tests whether taking a single blood-thinning medication (instead of two) after heart stent placement is safe and effective over the long term. If you've recovered well from a stent procedure, this trial may help determine the safest way to prevent future heart problems.

Personalizing medicines to reduce bleeding after stent procedure

This trial studies ways to reduce bleeding in people after a stent procedure (PCI) who have been taking two anti-platelet medicines (aspirin plus prasugrel or ticagrelor) for a set amount of time. It may help find a safer plan for preventing blood clots while lowering bleeding risk.

NCT06821191Recruiting· Phase 4
Safer blood thinner plan after heart stent

This trial is testing whether lowering the dose of your current blood thinner or switching to a different one (clopidogrel) is safer and works just as well after you've had a stent placed. It's designed for people who are already on two blood thinners and are doing well.

NCT04937699Recruiting· Phase 4
Switching anti-platelet tablets after a heart stent

This trial studies whether changing the timing and type of blood-thinner tablets after a heart stent is as safe and effective as continuing the same plan. It may help some people by simplifying treatment while preventing dangerous clotting after a coronary procedure.

NCT06691191Recruiting· Phase 4
Switching to a single blood thinner after heart stent

This trial tests if people who have been on two blood thinners (aspirin plus prasugrel or ticagrelor) for at least 90 days after getting a heart stent can safely switch to just one of those blood thinners. It aims to see if taking only one pill is as safe and effective as taking two.

NCT07164859Not yet recruiting· Phase 3
Very short blood thinners after stent in older patients

This trial tests if a very short course of dual antiplatelet therapy (two blood thinners) after getting a stent is safe and effective for patients aged 65 and older. The goal is to reduce bleeding risks while still preventing heart attacks.

Caen
NCT07684742Not yet recruiting· Phase 4
Early single blood thinner after stent for heart attack

This trial tests whether patients who have had a heart attack or unstable angina and a stent placed with ultrasound guidance can safely stop one of their blood-thinning medicines early. It helps doctors find the best way to prevent future heart problems with fewer side effects.
