Who can take part

  • You have bronchiectasis (enlarged, damaged airways) that is not caused by cystic fibrosis
  • You are 18 years or older
  • You can commit to visiting the clinic regularly for 12 months of follow-up visits
  • You have no serious heart problems that would make the antibiotic unsafe
  • You are not currently using other long-term macrolide antibiotics (like azithromycin, clarithromycin, or erythromycin)
  • You do not have active tuberculosis or other serious infections requiring treatment
