Physician-Modified Stent Grafts for Aortic Aneurysms

Aortic Aneurysm

Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This trial tests a custom-made stent graft (a tube that reinforces the aorta from inside) for patients with large aortic aneurysms who may be too sick for traditional open surgery. The goal is to prevent rupture and complications while avoiding major surgery.

Who can take part

  • You have a large aortic aneurysm (bulge in the main artery) that is growing or at high risk of rupture
  • You are age 50 or older
  • You are considered high-risk for traditional surgery due to lung disease, heart problems, frailty, or other serious conditions
  • Your aorta anatomy is suitable for a catheter-based repair (blood vessels are the right size and shape)
  • You have not had prior aortic surgery or repair
  • You are willing to return for regular follow-up visits and imaging

Custom stent-graft for large chest and belly aneurysms

This study tests a special stent-graft, custom-shaped by your doctor to fit your aneurysm while keeping blood flow to important organs like your kidneys and stomach. It's for people with large aneurysms in the chest and belly who cannot safely have open surgery.

Modified Stent Graft for Complex Abdominal Aneurysm

This trial tests a doctor-modified stent graft for treating complex aneurysms near the kidneys. It may be an option if your aneurysm is too complicated for standard devices and you are healthy enough for the procedure.

NCT06657794Recruiting
Custom graft repair for aortic aneurysms near the kidneys

This trial tests a doctor-modified stent-graft to fix an aneurysm in the part of the aorta just below the kidney arteries. It may be an option if standard devices cannot be used or are not available in time.

NCT07064460Recruiting
Custom stent graft for complex aortic aneurysm repair

This trial tests a custom-made stent graft to repair complex aortic aneurysms that are hard to treat with standard surgery. It may help people who are at high risk for open surgery due to age, health, or past abdominal surgeries.

NCT01538056Recruiting
Customized endovascular graft for abdominal aortic aneurysm

This trial tests a doctor-customized stent graft placed through the groin to treat a dangerous bulge in the lower part of the aorta (an abdominal aortic aneurysm). It may help by improving how the graft fits, based on detailed measurements of your artery anatomy and your ability to attend follow-up visits.

NCT02989948Recruiting
Custom stent graft for complex enlarged aorta

This trial tests a custom-made stent graft (a mesh tube placed inside the aorta) for people with a large, dangerous enlargement of the aorta that needs multiple branch vessels connected. It may help high-surgical-risk patients avoid open surgery, but it’s only for those who can’t use standard FDA-approved endovascular grafts.
