Gene Testing Study for Advanced Lung Cancer

Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

This study collects and analyzes lung cancer tissue samples to understand genetic differences that may help guide future treatment. You'll provide a tissue sample (either from a biopsy or prior surgery), and researchers will study it—no treatment is given in this study.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have advanced lung cancer (Stage IIIB/IIIC or Stage IV) that cannot be surgically removed, or lung cancer that has come back
  • You have not yet started treatment for this stage of lung cancer, or you are starting first-line treatment within 1 month of joining
  • You can provide either a fresh tissue biopsy (taken after diagnosis and before any treatment) or a surgical specimen from a prior surgery for recurrent disease
  • You do not have another active cancer or a history of cancer in the past 5 years (with limited exceptions)
  • You are willing to sign consent and follow study requirements
