Who can take part

  • Your infant has been clinically diagnosed with an infantile hemangioma (a benign blood vessel growth)
  • The hemangioma is located in the lower back, tailbone, buttocks, perineal, or genital area, or extends down the leg
  • The largest part of the hemangioma is at least 2 centimeters (about 0.8 inches) across
  • You are willing to provide written consent and allow your child to complete screening examinations
  • Your child does not have other types of vascular malformations (different kinds of blood vessel abnormalities)
  • Your child does not have other genetic or congenital syndromes that would complicate the study
