Who can take part

  • Your child is between 6 and 9 years old and generally healthy
  • Your child has two baby molars (back teeth) on the lower jaw that need to be removed
  • Your child shows some anxiety about dental procedures but is somewhat cooperative (not extremely fearful or extremely calm)
  • You provide written permission for your child to participate
  • Your child does not have physical disabilities, autism, ADHD, anxiety disorders, or other psychiatric conditions
  • Your child does not have epilepsy or hearing or vision problems, and is not taking medications that affect hearing or light sensitivity
