Who can take part
- Age 18–75 years old
- Diagnosed skin infection with wound area between 4–225 cm² (roughly the size of a postage stamp to a playing card)
- Infection is on the skin surface only, not deep in tissues, and doesn't need surgery
- Bacteria confirmed in wound samples that resist common antibiotics or don't respond to them
- Not pregnant or breastfeeding, and willing to use contraception if able to become pregnant
- Not currently taking steroids, immunosuppressants, chemotherapy, or other drugs that weaken immunity
