Who can take part

  • You’re an adult (at least 18) with type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
  • You have a foot wound below the ankle that has been getting worse for more than 2 weeks.
  • The wound is large enough (at least 0.5 cm²) and is a nerve-related foot ulcer.
  • You’re being seen in a hospital/clinic that runs the study.
  • Your ulcer infection involves Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA or MSSA), and the bacteria are tested to see if phage can work against them.
  • There is no osteomyelitis (bone infection) and no major blood-flow blockage in the affected foot.
