Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (a specific type of esophageal cancer) that has not been treated before
- You are 18 years or older and in good enough health to tolerate treatment (able to do light activities)
- Your blood counts and liver/kidney function are within acceptable ranges based on recent lab tests
- Your heart is working well (ejection fraction at least 50%)
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and willing to use contraception during and 6 months after treatment
