Who can take part
- You are a woman aged 18–65 years old
- You have been diagnosed with cervical cancer (confirmed by biopsy) at stage IB3, IIB, IIC, IIIA, IIIB, or IIIC1
- You are healthy enough to receive strong radiation and chemotherapy combined (ECOG score 0–2, meaning you can do light to moderate activity)
- Your blood counts, kidney function, and liver function are adequate
- You have not had radiation to your pelvis or chemotherapy for cervical cancer before
- You do not have inflammatory bowel disease, blocked kidney ducts (hydronephrosis), or another active cancer
