- Scheduled for video-assisted chest surgery to remove part or all of a lung
- Between 8 and 64 years old
- In generally good health (ASA physical status I-III, meaning you can safely have surgery)
- No known allergies to numbing drugs, steroids, or strong pain relievers (opioids)
- Not pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking pain medications regularly
