Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have been diagnosed with metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD)—meaning fat has built up in your liver due to metabolic issues
- You have type 2 diabetes mellitus
- You do not have viral hepatitis, drug-induced liver damage, autoimmune liver disease, or alcoholic liver disease
- Your liver has not failed or become severely damaged (no cirrhosis complications)
- You have not had liver surgery or a liver transplant
