- Age 25–45 years old
- Have a molar tooth with a successful root canal (confirmed by X-ray) with no signs of failure
- Have enough healthy tooth structure left (at least three walls, each 1.5 mm thick or thicker)
- Tooth must be fully erupted with healthy gums and bone around it
- At least 20 teeth that bite together properly
- Good daily oral hygiene habits and able to attend follow-up visits for 24 months
