Who can take part

  • Be at least 7 years old
  • Be able to lie still in an MRI machine (a tube that takes detailed pictures using magnetic waves)
  • Not have metal implants like pacemakers or certain metallic devices in your body
  • Not be pregnant or planning to become pregnant
  • Not have received a ferumoxytol injection (an iron-based contrast dye) in the past year
  • Not need strong IV sedation (though mild anxiety medication by mouth is okay if you have your own prescription and a driver)
