Low-Calorie Diet Study for Type 2 Diabetes Control

This study tests whether two types of low-calorie diets can help adults with type 2 diabetes better control their blood sugar and heart health over 12 weeks. You'll be randomly assigned to follow one of these diets and have your health measured before and after.

  • You are between 40 and 70 years old
  • You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
  • You are of Chinese ethnicity and speak Cantonese
  • You are not currently on kidney dialysis
  • You do not have major food allergies to nuts, berries, olive oil, or fish
  • You have not participated in any structured diet program in the past 3 months
