- Age 18–65 years old
- Generally healthy or have well-controlled conditions like high blood pressure or diabetes
- Scheduled for elective (planned) retrograde intrarenal surgery—a minimally invasive kidney stone procedure
- No chronic opioid use or severe heart, lung, or psychiatric conditions
- BMI (body mass index) of 40 or less
- No known allergies to study medications
