- Your child is under 18 years old
- Your child has sickle cell disease
- Your child was hospitalized between January 2020 and December 2025
- Your child was hospitalized for a serious bacterial infection (meningitis, lung/chest infection, bone/joint infection, or bloodstream infection)
- The infection was confirmed by a lab test (culture or PCR, not just a blood test for antibodies)
- You and your child are willing to participate (no objection)
