  • Your child is between 6 months and 7 years old
  • Your child has been referred to an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialist for chronic ear fluid or repeated ear infections
  • Your child's ENT doctor is considering ear tube surgery
  • You can wait at least 5 weeks before making a final surgery decision
  • Your child has never had ear tubes placed before
  • Your child does not have a hole in the eardrum or certain birth-related ear conditions
